of banns for which no marriage record exists (this does not mean a marriage did
not take place, but that it may have been solemnised elsewhere). There are several
marriages where one or both parties were from outside the parish, some from a
considerable distance away, but it is clear that the population of Tottenham was
slowly increasing during this period. |
